Premium Welsh Gin a hit with the national chain

Cygnet Gin, the Welsh gin brand has added an extra ‘splash’ of success to its busy year, by ending it celebrating the inclusion into the JD Wetherpoons menus.

The gin itself, created, distilled and bottled in South Wales has now firmly cemented its place in the consumer market by its inclusion to the famous Wetherspoons ‘Gin Palace’ menu and also the bespoke ‘Welsh Gin’ menu across all Welsh JD Wetherspoon venues.

Wetherspoon general manager, Steve Edge, said:

“We are delighted to be serving Cygnet Gin in our Welsh pubs.

“We are always keen to support businesses across Wales.

“We are confident that it will prove popular with our customers.”

Cygnet Gin launched back in March 2018 and since ‘hatching’ has created a solid place in the Welsh Gin market with it’s classic London Dry style gin, Cygnet Original, as well as the introduction of the Cygnet Pinc – the only Welsh Pink gin using real fruit, to create a flavoured gin tasting of strawberries and raspberries.

Master Distiller of Cygnet Gin, Dai Wakely says of the inclusion;

“To be included in the Gin Palace menu and the Welsh Gin Menu is an absolute honour. We created Cygnet with the idea and aspiration for it to be bought, to be drunk, to be enjoyed by as many people as possible and to see our little hatchling now growing it’s honestly a dream. We know there’s been a huge gin serge and a ‘boom’ in craft gin recently and we’re just happy and honoured that our beautiful product can contribute to that success in the form of the menu addition.”

Wetherspoons have an extensive and hugely popular gin range, including local and national brands in an ever growing gin collection. For all gin-lovers, the Gin Palace hosts more than 16 gins from the UK, including London dry gins, fruity gins, citrusy gins and gin-based liqueurs – let the exploration beGin!
