Construction Futures Wales is a business improvement programme within the construction sector.
Construction Futures Wales is designed to improve and build on principles of best practice and continuous improvement, and is jointly funded by the Welsh Government and the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) through the Joint Investment Strategy (JIS) for the construction industry in Wales.
‘Over recent years, we have seen a growing realisation that construction activity can significantly contribute to the growth and social impact on the Welsh economy by developing both people skills and businesses.’
The Construction Futures Wales programme aims to equip the industry to better understand the challenges it faces moving forward, and equip the workforce to better meet those challenges. This will be done through delivery of support on live projects. It will demonstrate opportunities for real savings, growth and skills development, through improvement activities and training.
The programme delivery has been divided into 4 separate work packages:
1. Company ‘Health check’: Innovation and a Strategic Approach
2. Client Relationship Management System (CRM), Events and Marketing
3. Champions programme, Leadership & Management, and individual skills
4. Sourcing & Supply chain development
